Let Her Out: Reclaim Who You Have Always Been
Once we get to a certain level of success, we forget about the girl inside of us. She is the one who was the first to hop into a game of pickup basketball, but now all she does is pick up after others. She was the one who played the lead in the school musical, but now only sings in the shower. She wrote her deepest thoughts in a journal, but is stuck writing one business report after the other.
If you feel like your inner girl (or boy) gets sent to the back of the line when the next deadline, meeting, or family obligation pops up, this book is for you. Natalie wrote this book after finding all of the diaries she has kept since she was eight years old. It reminded her that she has always been who she was meant to be - and so have you.
Let Her Out: Reclaim Who You Have Always Been is where life story meets life coaching. Dive into Natalie’s journey, which started in a small Midwestern town, took her to Silicon Valley, and eventually back home to Ohio. Along the way, you’ll be presented with 100+ coaching questions to help you reconnect to your story on your own journey to Let Her Out.

Whether it’s a Her or a Him, we all have parts of ourselves dying to come out. Literally dying. Suffocating from years and perhaps decades of expectations and fear covering up our deepest authenticity. In Let Her Out, Natalie not only gives you permission, but encourages you to let out the best version of yourself buried beneath layers of social conditioning. She demonstrates and challenges us to do this in the context of her real and relatable real life.

As Natalie's third grade teacher (my first year of teaching), I can attest that she was a profound thinker, and indeed "kind and good and smart." Thankfully, we have reconnected during my last year of teaching, and it seems our roles have been reversed. This book hit nerve after nerve as I connected not only to Natalie's advice, but also her life. Her words are insightful, wise and inspiring, and I look forward to reconnecting to my version of "Her" in retirement.

This is just the book I needed to read right now as I enter midlife and find myself yearning to reconnect to the creativity, boldness, spunk, and thirst for knowledge I had as a young child and teenager. Natalie's story-telling, mixed with her inspiration, encouragement, and outlined steps for how to move forward, have already made an impact on how I'm showing up in the world. I'm grateful she is leading the charge to motivate women everywhere to LET HER OUT!
